Peacock
The monsoons have well and truly arrived, and if there is one animal synonymous with rain in India, it is the dancing peacock. During the vehicle safari, our guests got to watch some typical peacock behaviour, albeit not the cliched dance. The heavy rain soaks their tail feathers, and peacocks take advantage of breaks in the rain to dry their tail feathers by climbing trees and spreading their feather out to dry. It was a great learning experience and natural history for our guests as a magnificent peacock hung out its tail feathers to dry.
