Indian spotted eagle

Sighted on: 31.Dec.2024

This week, we had a predator sighting for the ages. An Indian Spotted Eagle was seen with an intermediate egret kill during the boat safari. Indian Spotted Eagles hunt and feed on a variety of animals, including small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, small birds, insects, and occasionally even fish. They get their name from the distinctive white spots dotted irregularly on the outer parts of their wings, although this isn’t seen in all individuals. Did you know that they are monogamous? They mate for life with a single partner.
