Wild Dog
Sighted on: 02.July.2025

We spotted a wild dog during this morning’s boat safari. As we cruised along the water, we noticed it resting quietly on the bank, its striking coat—marked with rich hues of rust, black, and white—standing out vividly against the lush, rain-washed landscape. For a moment, time seemed to stand still. The stillness of the forest, broken only by the gentle rustle of leaves, lent the scene an almost surreal quality.

Western Reef Egret
Sighted on: 03.July.2025

Each year, I eagerly look forward to observing the remarkable reef egret, especially the striking dark morph that stands out so vividly against the coastal landscape. This season, however, brought a delightful surprise—an encounter with the stunning white morph of the Western Reef Egret. The stark contrast between the dark and white morphs is truly fascinating, and highlights the incredible diversity within the species. Watching these elegant birds in their natural habitat is always a special experience, and this unexpected sighting added a memorable twist to my annual birdwatching adventure.
