Marsh Crocodile
Sighted on: 11.March.2026

This evening, during the boat safari along the banks of the Kabini River, we encountered one of the river’s oldest residents — the ancient Mugger Crocodile. Resting quietly under the warm sun, it lay motionless on the sandy bank, so perfectly still that it could easily be mistaken for a log. Yet beneath that calm exterior is a powerful reptile, patiently waiting at the water’s edge and blending effortlessly into its surroundings.
For those on the boat safari, spotting a crocodile basking along the banks of Kabini is a quiet reminder that these waters belong to one of nature’s most enduring survivors.
