Spotted Deer

Sighted on: 28.Oct.2024

A young spotted deer was seen crossing the safari track. Also known as the chital, they often go unnoticed due to their large numbers. With their elegant coats dotted in white, delicate build, and striking grace, they are considered one of the most beautiful deer in the world.

Despite this lack of attention, the spotted deer play a crucial role in maintaining the delicate balance of the forest ecosystem. As primary prey for predators like tigers, leopards, and wild dogs, they sustain the health of the entire predator population. Without the chital, there simply wouldn’t be enough prey to support these predators.

Oriental Darter

Sighted on: 30.Oct.2024

An Oriental Darter was spotted during the evening boat safari. Boat safaris are one of the most underrated experiences due to the perceived lack of sightings. Whether in the morning or evening, during the monsoon, winter, or summer, being out on the water is magical and if you happen to be a photographer, the opportunities to capture stunning, cinematic images are endless.
