Long tailed shrike
Sighted on: 12.November.2025
During this morning’s Nature Walk, our guests were treated to a sighting of the long-tailed shrike. Aptly nicknamed the ‘butcher bird’, it impales its prey on thorns or branches and uses its hooked bill to tear into the flesh — a practical, if somewhat gruesome, dining habit.
