Red - headed Vulture
Sighted on: 14.October.2025

Our guests were fortunate to spot a Red-headed Vulture during their safari. In a Big Cat haven like Kabini, Red-headed Vultures play a crucial ecological role. By swiftly consuming animal carcasses, they prevent water contamination, curb the spread of disease, and ease the economic impacts of potential outbreaks. In essence, these vultures are nature’s sanitation team — vital to keeping Kabini’s forests clean, balanced, and thriving, while safeguarding the health of both wildlife and people alike.
